2 1/2 inch Red Roach Copper Metal Wall Sculpture

Handmade from recycled copper and brass, this roach has an split wing detail on its 2 1/2" long shell. Flip him over to find a detailed head and body. The legs are made from brass wire and brazed to the abdomen. The antenna are recycled unwound bronze guitar string.

For a finish I use Art Chemical’s red dye-oxide with Permalac exterior lacquer topcoat. Permalac is rated to last for 10 years in the elements, using paste wax once a year to help protect the finish.

Mount on a wall (with picture hanger) or flat surfaces. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
