2 inch Shell Red Roach Copper Metal Wall Sculpture

Handmade from recycled copper and brass, this roach has an split wing detail on its 2" long shell. Flip him over to find a detailed head and body. The legs are made from brass wire and brazed to the abdomen. The antenna are recycled unwound bronze guitar string.

For a finish I use Art Chemical’s red dye-oxide with Permalac exterior lacquer topcoat. Permalac is rated to last for 10 years in the elements, using paste wax once a year to help protect the finish.

Mount on a wall (with picture hanger) or flat surfaces. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
